The JV Saints football team got out to an early lead against the Desert Mountain Wolves on September 19th, providing them with enough momentum to last the whole game. The Saints won their previous game 54-0 against Glendale Apollo. The win against Desert Mountain moved the Saints to a 4-0 record on the season.

In the first quarter, junior quarterback Tyler Schweigert completed a pass to sophomore wide receiver Scotty Simmons. On the play right before the touchdown, Simmons dropped a wide open pass, but he made up for it on the next play. The first quarter ended with the Saints leading 6-0.

In the second quarter, Schweigert completed a touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Harrison Wood, with junior wide receiver Kyle Farrell making a catch to get the two point-conversion. The Wolves did not score the whole first half, giving the Saints a 14-0 lead.

The third quarter started off slow, but Farrell ended up ended up scoring a touchdown, giving the Saints a 20-0 lead by the end of the quarter.

During the fourth quarter, NDP and Desert Mountain both scored touchdowns, but the Saints ended up winning 26-6. The Saints look to stay undefeated with their next game on Thursday, September 26th against the Cactus Shadows Falcons.
